In past seasons, Clauss has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Clauss is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Don't be surprised if The Free Agents's manager sits Clauss when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw.

Baserunning & Defense
He's an adequate leftfielders who is helped by his experience. His arm is accurate enough. He has no speed at all and runs the bases conservatively.
