Jessy Checkett
Catcher | Detroit Polar Bears

Hitting
He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Jessy Checkett to pull the ball. It's hard to explain but Jessy Checkett plays much better on the road then he does at home.

Baserunning & Defense
Checkett isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Checkett you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.

2014 Outlook
In two full big league seasons, Checkett already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
