Pitching
Carson can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. When his release point drops below three-quarters, his fastball tends to hang in the strike zone. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
He's average in terms of controlling the running game. A shaky fielder, he's slow to react to grounders and often looks unsure on his throws to the bases. Carson is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Carson has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Carson as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2014 Outlook
If Carson doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
