Ed Burns
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Burns has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Burns is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Don't be surprised if The Retired or Inactive Players's manager sits Burns when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw. You can expect Ed Burns to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Burns doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Burns you're not putting him in for his glove. Ed's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
