Kurt Boyer
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Boyer has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Boyer is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Boyer always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. He struggles away from home.
Baserunning & Defense His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Boyer's absolutely no threat to steal and doubles must be obvious for him to chance advancing.
