Hitting
The book on Bowman is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Bowman always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Bowman when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Bowman isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
