Corbin Bernsen
Catcher | Free Agents

Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Let's face facts: Bernsen hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. The Free Agents do tend to sit Bernsen when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. He absolutely loves playing before the hometown crowd.

Baserunning & Defense
He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. Bernsen is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. Corbin's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
