Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Alicea always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. He has a strong, accurate arm. Alicea doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.

2014 Outlook
If Alicea doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
